Not only will it affecting our commercial fishing and seafood industry but it will also affect tourism as well as our states economy. A statistic was released stating 80,000 jobs are tourism related and will have a huge impact if/when this oil hits us.

It seems they are still trying to save the well rather then looking at options that would stop it but could cause them to lose the well.

It's terribly sad for all who love the Gulf areas. Very painful.
I sit here on "my" pristine Anna Maria Island in Florida contemplating where I'll fish in the backbay/flats areas in the next few days and I cannot wrap my brain around having those areas and our beaches covered in oil.

Here is a site for the model forecasts of where the oil will go in the next few days: http://bit.ly/aDKXBB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I really feel for you guys being affected by this firsthand. To sit hopelessly and watch a tremendous natural resource get ruined for years really sucks.

Truly am sorry. Not only for you, but all of us affected by this. It brings tears to my eyes when I see/hear about what's going on. We all share the same love for that body of water an all water connected to it.

Hope it gets better...

With the oil, and my home owners insurance being non-renewed for the second time in 9 years, it's time to move out of FL.
To bad it'll take years to sell this house.

We might be witnessing the death of Florida and other gulf coast states.
