handy measuring stick

I got a free Sea Tow adhesive ruler from West Marine. Once I cut off the advertising and borders I stuck it on my paddle. Even though it dips into the water there are no signs that it will peel off. This eliminates one more item to forget and you can't get up the creek without it.

If you can keep a fish balanced on the paddle to measure it and take a picture a the same time you get my vote as juggler :joker: of the year.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.
