Wind River Range, Wyoming

Post by Rik »

My brother Jeff sent me these pics from his recent one week trip. While the fish may be smaller then what we catch down here, the scenery in the background is incredible. Elevation 10,885'

Jeff with a Golden Trout. Apparently they are tough to find (only found at or above the treeline) and even tougher to catch. He's been working on it them for a couple years now and seems to have figured them out.

Nice view from the campsite!

Jeff with a Cutthroat Trout caught in the lower creeks

Jeff's buddy with a nice Golden Trout. Notice the head net. He said the mosquitoes were especially bad this year due to 200% of normal snow fall.

Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

It's quicker to get there now. YOu don't have to go by wagon train.
