Made A Few Things For My Kayak

Post by Cajun Welder »

I have never braided before but I saw a recent post on a braided paddle leash and figured id give it a try.
A fancy 3 foot or so paddle leash

AND
A 10 foot braided anchor rope.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/820/anchord.jpg/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Picture of how ill hook it up, long enough to stay near my anchor and also to push pole with.

I have been tired of messing around with tangled rope
The Anchor rope took me 80 yards of white and about 15 or so of the camo center.
All together less than $20 for the cord, clips and stainless steel shackle for the anchor holder

Let me know what yall think.

Outstanding work, Cajun. Seriously, VERY nice.

You may want to seriously consider a trolley system of some kind, though.
Plenty of great how-to's on the boards here.

Thanks mangle I appreciate it,I thought about doing a trolley system but in all reality I like the simplicity of just a anchor and a rope. Im also new to kayak fishing and my kayak is usually my mobile tackle box and my transportation. I do love me some wade fishing YeeeeHawww :drown:

Rope! There are no ropes on vessels! Lines! They are called lines!
Purty by the way.

It is a rope if it has no purpose.
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

Dude...good thing you got called back to work because you had way to much spare time on your hands. Nice work though.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.
