That being said, here is what she looked like out of the box (that's right I said box)
Then I upgraded the seat to have a locking swivel:
As of today, just added a wheel to get a little more terra firma mobility:

Hopefully, I have fished several places where you cannot see them until you run into them.mrpj1972 wrote:Will not "handle" them. It will steer clear of them though!!Todd wrote:How will that handle oyster bars?

It's a thick pvc skin that holds the air bladder inside, but I'm not willing to test it.Todd wrote:Hopefully, I have fished several places where you cannot see them until you run into them.

Hmmm....looks comfortable.
I know they are quite popular in the freshwater environment.
Another area of concern, that I'm being schooled in, is corrosion.
Any non aluminum/stainless/plastic parts to that baby?

I have always worried about gators when fishing with one of these. I always worry about my feet hanging in the water.

Yeah, I clean it pretty good after each use and I have sprayed the inside of most of the metal tubing with WD40. The cancer will come, but hopefully I can slow it down enough to get some good usage out of it before i have to break out a stick welder...1okbyme2 wrote:Hmmm....looks comfortable.

Feet don't hang in the water at all. High and dry except when getting in & out of it. I can even stand straight up on it when I put my feet on either side of the seat.wely wrote:I have always worried about gators when fishing with one of these. I always worry about my feet hanging in the water.

I would stay away from wd40, wd40 has parrafin in it and it will attract sand and small particles. Not the best for your application. Paul at Masthead sells a lubricant that works very well in a marine enviroment. Cannot remember the name but I will find out for you.

It's probably time for a re-coat, so I'll try something different. I have some white lithium grease in a can. Any objections to that?
