Offshore kayaking off Pompano 3/4/12

Headed off Pompano Beach on Saturday and it was windy. Most of the waves were 3 to 4 ft with some 6 fters thrown in. Thats what the depth finder read anyway(difference from bottom of wave to top of wave). Dwig and I made it out to 220ft and drifted really fast. I ended up catching one bonita that was about 8 to 10lbs. It was interesting launching and beaching in crashing waves but overall it was a memorable trip.
