new from Palm Harbor

Post by fishingvetinPH »

Hello all! My name is Chris and I am new to kayak fishing. I haven't yet bought a kayak, but I was hoping I could get some feedback from the community on great deals, good ideas, or poor decisions you all have made when purchasing your kayaks. Any feedback is good, like the best paddle, or is it worth getting a live well, or fish finder? What kind of pole holders should I get? What kind of chair is the best in your opinion? Is a rudder worth the investment? I'm sure there is wealth of knowledge from those of you who have triumphed and failed in your endeavors to making the perfect fishing kayak. Thanks, and I look forward to reading your posts!

Welcome to the group!

The best advice I can give you is to let your eyes do the walking. Read through the hundreds of threads, here on p-f.com and elsewhere, on the very topics you're asking about. That will give you a good information base.

Caveat: Don't believe everything you read on the Internet...
