First Take a Liberal Fishing Trip

Post by Manning »

Rik took his own advise from the political forum and took a liberal, me, fishing today. We were joined by Haywood and BigFlyReel. Was a great morning out on the water with good people. It started off a little slow for Rik and I, but soon a 30 in. snook blasted Rik's spook jr. The fish hit within 10 feet of Rik's kayak and he was setting less than 10 feet off the mangroves. How he managed to keep that big girl out of bushes is beyond me.

I caught this red on the way home in the last half hour we were out there. It saved my day.

Bill and Greg got separated from us at the beginning of the trip and from what they said they were hitting them pretty good. I assume Bill may have some pictures to post.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

It was a good day. Yes Greg and I headed off in a opposite direction. Ended up paddling too far, but it was worth it.

Good times guys. Cow Creek is always a blast. Literally this time.
Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley

Those pics are great, looks like you guys had a great day on the mythical Cows Creek, gotta admit, I liked the ones with the pup in them myself, just too cool.
