Fly Rod Weight?

I have a new to me fly rod. Its looks to be pretty old, fiberglass 2-piece and has no markings at all. Is there any way to figure out what weight the rod is? Or what weight line to use?

I'm brand new to fly fishing, I have used it in the past but without any skill what so ever.

The reel on it is an old Sears 631513 made by Olympic (Japan) looks brand new!

any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'd take it to a fly shop and ask them if you can try a few different lines on it. They should be able to help you narrow it down. Since it is fiberglass, and probably really slow, you'll likely be able to throw a few different line weights with it. Go with whichever is most comfortable to you.

Is that reel number actually 6 31513 (with a space after the 6)? I'm pretty sure that underlined 6 is the line size for the reel. Might give you a good place to start on deciding what line size is appropriate for the rod. Chris' suggestion is a good one.
