Never thought about using a window. But, since my background is as an electrician, we would use the trick below. Funny how many high pressure sodium lamps we were short on projects when we discovered this little trick.

The one I use is over 20 years old. It puts a real nice edge on my Sharpfinger skinning blade.

Love it!! Puts the same angle on the blade every time.

Of course this video could have been done in 3 to 5 minutes. :-/

Bottom (non-glazed portion) of a ceramic coffee mug works too in a pinch. :)
