Rivet question

Hoping some of the more mechanically minded on the site can help me. I need to rivet my kayak seat to a PVC pipe that I'm using to raise it. It also needs to pass thru a 1x3x 5/8 board. I'm guessing the gap is about 1 inch. Where can I find a half dozen of these rivets with such a wide gap? My only other option in to find a petite woman or child whose hand can fit inside the pipe to start a nut on a bolt. Thanks
