I thought I'd share this with guys that may find it useful. After a few fishing trips, and let's say around 20 times fishing, this is my t-reign 7.5 pliers review. They've been dunked several times and de hooked numerous fish, a couple of hats, one pfd and one kayak seat twice. The retractor is the cat's meow. No corrosion issues, retracts flawlessly every time The line cutter works well, but seems a little far back in there for close to knot cuts. I've accidentally cut the main line rather than the tag several times. I rinse it well after every use and have seen no corrosion. Final analysis, they're the best fishing pliers I've ever owned. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CH5BBZ ... etractable" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have a similar pair of pliers made by Tsunami. They have a spiral spring cord on them. I carry them attached to the side strap on my kayak seat. They see lots of use and lots of saltwater. The get a good rinsing very seldom. I have been using them for over three years now without a problem. I really think the only thing that can go wrong is if I lose them. I know I paid about $28 for them. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/searc ... liers&sr=1
