How are any of those fish beat up? They all look pretty green and healthy to me. One of them has some marks on his side, I have caught four this year that had similar beat up looking markings on them and none seemed to be lacking in fight.

Cmon. I have made posts quite a bit more lame than that.
Tarpon sometimes get scales removed during the battle. Their large scales are prone to getting caught by the line going over their body. srsfsu's pose is reminiscent of Frenchy though. I'd expect something more artistic from the arrogant youngin.

I agree. I was spent. That was the best I could muster. And let's be honest, that pose is no worse than lifting the fish up on the side of the kayak. In fact, I'd argue that it is probably better. There is nothing touching their bodies doing damage to their scales/slime when you pull 1/5 of their body out of the water like that.
