Sup sup, This is hard to ask. Is there some kind of gismo that will work as an extra cushion for the seat? Let me explain. My ass hurts after 4-5+ hours in da boat. I hate going in cos of da ass. Well, it’s a pain in the... I have the after market seat for my Hobie and a paddlers pad x 2 gooped together. No, I do not have a medical condition and my girl says I have a cute bottom. I'm usually on the water by 7:30 but have to get out by 2. I am addicted to fishing. I want to stay out there all day. I figure there has to be an air cushion that could slip around the bottom of the seat. This is kind of embarrassing and I know I sound like a girl, but dammit, I want to fish longer! Discuss and Let the ridicule begin.

Yakpads, gel seats work good, but without doubt the air cushioins are the most comfortable.

I had that same problem. My solution was: I bought one of those orange throwable cushions. I opened it up and took the material out and cut it to the same shape of my seat. Put it back in and my lovely wife sewed it back together in the shape I cut it. It works great and my butt thanks me.

Rik has it right (As usual) I am not a Doctor but I act like one on the internet...Part of the reason your ass hurts is circulation or a lack of. Sitting for long periods is never good and you should get up and stretch your legs every so often no matter what seat you use.

Thanks for da tips. When I have the money, I will buy da fancy ass pads. Y'all have the nicest shops north of da skyway. No fancy ass pads at economy tackle. Expensive bo bo ass pad only available down here. Not good at ordering things on line. I did paddle back to shore every 2 hours and stetched this weekend and da ass lasted all day.
