I will use it to release line on my big line equipment, rather than pull the line out with wet hands and Power Pro :shock: .
but my light stuff, I don't really use it.
Yes, I can get 20 feet of Pontoon boat equipment on a 16 foot Pontoon boat....

I'd rather have it on my reels than not. Comes in handy sometimes.

This situation is why I posted the question.

The anti reverse broke on one of my reels. When you're used to a functioning anti reverse, you don't have your free hand on the handle all the time.

I hooked a redfish and when it took off the anti reverse failed and around came the handle and popped a knuckle. Not the best feeling in the world.

I knew there would be some who say they have a use for it, but I can honestly say, I've never witnessed anyone utilizing the anti reverse on a spinning reel.
