What's your winter time game plan?

Being new to kayak fishing this summer, this will be my first winter. I was wondering what others do in the colder months and thought a poll was in order.

I like fishing in the creeks during the winter but I do not ignore the flats. Winter fishing was always one of my favorites, I prefer it to the heat of summer that is for sure.

I think it will be freshwater lakes and rivers for me this year.

Fighting the winds and tides is getting old.

I tend to ignore snook during the winter months and target reds. I might mix that up a bit this winter though and fish some backcountry.

It's a little different up here, the reds move into the creeks and school up so I'll spend most of the winter stalking them in the creeks but there is plenty of fishin to be done on the rivers and bays....

A little of both..fishing the creeks and canals can be productive but don't overlook the flats especially low tide when the water warms up a little.
I do like fishing in the winter..I don't bother getting up early.

OK fess up ..who are the crumudgens that voted ...go figure it out yourself?

Cooler weather will slow the gators down so I will be going back out to the Myakka River to stay out of the wind. I really enjoy seeing how many lures I can put up in the Oak trees. :?

Find the day with the most wind out of the NE on an outgoing tide. Fish will be easy to find if you can get to them.
